Senator Lere Oyewumi Commends Hon. Mudashiru Lukman L&K for Grassroots Empowerment, ICT Centre Commissioning, and Educational Infrastructure Projects

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has commended Hon. Mudashiru Lukman Alani L&K for his impactful grassroots empowerment initiatives and dedication to the development of the Ayedire/Iwo/Olaoluwa Federal Constituency.


At a well-attended event held at Baptist Day School, Bowen Area, Iwo, Osun State, Hon. Lukman distributed cars, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, and essential farm implements to beneficiaries. He also commissioned an ICT Centre donated to the Federal College of Education, Iwo, for the benefit of Ayewola residents and inaugurated a six-classroom block at NUD Primary School, Ile Ogbo, in Ayedire Local Government Area.



“This empowerment program is a way to give back to the people and express appreciation for their unwavering support,” Senator Oyewumi stated. “These initiatives will stimulate local economic growth, uplift families, and improve the overall quality of life.” He further encouraged constituents to continue supporting Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke, praising the governor for his dedication to the progress of the constituency and Osun State as a whole.


Osun PDP State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, also praised Hon. Lukman for his visible and effective representation, emphasizing the importance of continuous accountability. “You are in the Green Chamber because of the people,” he said. “The era of silent achievers is over.”


In his remarks, Hon. Lukman Mudashiru Alani L&K said, “I am merely a vessel in the hands of God. I will continue to serve and do good for my people. I urge all beneficiaries to make meaningful use of these items for their personal and communal advancement.”


Alh. Ganiyu Olaoluwa (Asejere), Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs and former Osun PDP Chairman, also commended Hon. Lukman for his generosity and commitment to giving back to his people. He lauded the empowerment drive as timely and reflective of true leadership that connects with the grassroots.


The event was graced by notable traditional rulers, including Oba Hameed Adekunle Makama Oyelude Tegbosun III, the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje (Kadara), Arowo Okun Joye II, the Olu of Ileogbo and Oba Abdulazeez Olatunbosun Bamiji Akire Ile of Ikire Ile, who were present to show their support for Hon. Lukman.


Senator Oyewumi reaffirmed the constituency’s commitment to purposeful representation and praised Hon. Lukman for fulfilling his mandate with dedication and vision.


Also in attendance were members of the Osun PDP State Working Committee, political stakeholders, palace chiefs, religious leaders, women’s groups, and youth representatives.
