The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Lere Kamorudeen Oyewumi, PhD, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to community development and the wellbeing of his constituents. In a major step toward improving safety, security, and mobility, Senator Oyewumi facilitated the installation of modern solar-powered streetlights along strategic routes in Ejigbo, including Masifa town, Igbo Owa, Ode Baara, Ife Odan, Ola Road, and Sakasaka Road.
The project has already transformed the nighttime experience in these areas, enhancing security for residents and creating a more vibrant environment for economic and social activities. By delivering this lasting infrastructure, Senator Oyewumi continues to show that purposeful leadership is about initiatives that directly improve lives.
Work is also ongoing on similar solar streetlight projects across Apomu, Ikoyi, Owode Ede, Ede South, Ejigbo Main Town and its suburbs, with other local government areas scheduled to benefit in the next phase. Senator Oyewumi’s vision remains clear: to brighten both the path and the future of his people through practical, people-oriented projects.
