Excitement as Senator Lere Oyewumi Flags Off Onijayi–Akogun–Olodo Onibata–Ikoyi Eleja Road Construction in Ile-Igbo

‎There was an atmosphere of excitement in Ile-Igbo today as the Honourable Commissioner for Energy, Hon. Ademola Festus Adeyemo, representing Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, joined traditional rulers and well-meaning indigenes of the town for the official flag-off of the Onijayi–Akogun–Olodo Onibata–Ikoyi Eleja Road construction project.

‎The event witnessed the presence of traditional rulers, political leaders, and community stakeholders who applauded Senator Lere Oyewumi for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and infrastructural renewal across Osun West Senatorial District.

‎In his remarks, the Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje (Kadara I), commended Senator Lere Oyewumi for his responsive leadership and dedication to the progress of Ile-Igbo and its environs. The monarch described the project as a testament to the Senator’s passion for improving the welfare of his constituents.

‎Also speaking, the Osun West PDP Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Adesoye Oyetunde, lauded Senator Oyewumi for translating promises into action, noting that the ongoing road project will significantly boost economic activities and strengthen social ties within the region.

‎Representing the Senator, Hon. Ademola Festus Adeyemo assured residents that more developmental projects are on the way as part of Senator Oyewumi’s continuous effort to ensure equitable distribution of infrastructure across Osun West.



‎In his closing remark, Senator Lere Oyewumi reaffirmed his commitment to people-centered governance, saying: “My passion has always been to touch lives positively through meaningful and lasting development. This road project is just one of many initiatives we are bringing to our communities. I remain fully committed to ensuring that no town or village in Osun West is left behind in our development agenda.”
