The Deputy Senate Minority Leader representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Olalere Oyewumi, PhD, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises as he officially commissioned the Cele Ako Interlink Bridge for public use.

The commissioning ceremony attracted a large turnout of community leaders, party faithful, and residents, all of whom expressed joy and appreciation as the long-awaited project was delivered for the benefit of the people.

Speaking at the event, Senator Oyewumi described the project as a clear demonstration of his dedication to grassroots development and infrastructural advancement across Osun West. He emphasized that fulfilling his campaign promises remains a top priority, noting that the Cele Ako Interlink Bridge will significantly enhance connectivity, ease transportation challenges, and stimulate socio-economic activities within the community.

“This project is not just about infrastructure; it is about improving the daily lives of our people. I remain committed to ensuring that every promise made to the good people of Osun West is fulfilled,” the Senator stated.

He also expressed gratitude to God for the successful completion of the project and commended the cooperation and support of community members throughout its execution.

Residents and stakeholders at the event noted that prior to the Senator’s intervention, the bridge had claimed several lives due to neglect and the nonchalant attitude of previous administrations. They lauded Senator Oyewumi for his proactive leadership and responsiveness to the needs of the people, describing the bridge as a critical and life-saving development that will stand the test of time.

The Cele Ako Interlink Bridge is expected to serve as a vital link within the community, fostering ease of movement and contributing significantly to the overall development of the area.
