Senator Lere Oyewumi Visits Egbedore, Inspects Olomo Wewe to YTD Primary Road Project

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Lere Oyewumi, accompanied by Yeye Akogun Omolara Oyewumi and the Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission representing Osun State, Aremo Adekunle Alao, undertook a significant working visit to the Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State.



The visit was met with a warm reception by community stakeholders, party leaders, and enthusiastic supporters, led by Chief Joseph Kolade Adeleke. One of the highlights of the visit was the inspection of the newly finished rehabilitation of the Olomo Wewe to YTD Primary Road in Okinni, a crucial infrastructure project that links several community hubs. The road connects Winners Church, Palace Road, Ops C.A.C Church, Tipper Garage, Babakekere’s residence, and concludes at Al-Nurr Hospital along Shamrock Hotel Road.


During the inspection, Senator Oyewumi noted the broader impact of such developments; the road project is not just about asphalt; it’s about access to healthcare and markets, enhancing the socio-economic prosperity of the area. The lawmaker reaffirmed his administration’s focus on grassroots empowerment and infrastructural growth, bringing renewed hope to the residents of Egbedore and surrounding communities.


The tour underscored strong collaboration among various levels of government. In attendance were the honorable members representing Ayedaade, Irewole/Isokan, and Egbedore in the Osun State House of Assembly: Hon. Yemi Folorunsho Ogundare Folley, Hon. Abiola Ibrahim Inaolaji, and Hon. Rotimi Ogunrinade. Also present were the Senior Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor on Federal Matters, Oluomo Abiodun Oladoyi, and representatives of the Osun PDP Women’s Wing.
