Sen. Oyewumi Visits Iwo Flood Victims, Donates Money, Promises Further Assistance

The Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Akogun Lere Oyewumi PhD, representing Osun West Senatorial District, has paid a sympathy visit to victims of the recent flood disaster in Iwo, Osun State.


Senator Oyewumi expressed heartfelt solidarity with the affected families over the loss of property and the disruption caused by the unfortunate incident. He described the flooding as a painful experience and assured the victims that they are not alone in their time of difficulty.


In a gesture of compassion, the Senator made a financial donation to the victims to cushion the immediate effects of their losses. He further pledged to escalate the matter to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to ensure that necessary relief materials and long-term support are provided to the affected communities.


While commiserating with the residents, Senator Oyewumi reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, stressing that he would continue to work tirelessly to attract both state and federal interventions to Osun West.
