Yesterday, the Akogun Frontline Team triumphantly concluded its 2025 Year-End Constituency Engagement and Empowerment Programme, further deepening grassroots impact across the Osun West Senatorial District. The impactful closing ceremony was held at the residence of the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Kamorudeen Oyewumi, who was personally present to witness the final phase of the empowerment exercise and to present cash grants to beneficiaries.
Under the purposeful and disciplined leadership of the State Coordinator, Evang. Ariyo Babatunde, the team reached communities across the three federal constituencies, Iwo/Ayedire/Ola-Oluwa; Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo; and Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan, delivering hope, empowerment, and renewed confidence to the people.
Speaking during the programme, Evang. Ariyo Babatunde expressed profound appreciation to the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Lere Kamorudeen Oyewumi, whose unwavering support and personal commitment continue to drive sustainable grassroots development across Osun West. He noted that the Senator’s consistent investment in micro-business growth, youth empowerment, and women’s inclusion has become a lifeline for many households. He described the Senator as a visionary and dependable leader whose dedication continues to inspire hope and deliver tangible progress at the grassroots level.
The programme successfully brought together community stakeholders, youths, and women, creating a vibrant platform for engagement, learning, and shared growth. Key highlights included a comprehensive showcase of the Akogun Frontline Team’s achievements, an overview of impactful legislative and constituency interventions, and the distribution of cash grants to deserving beneficiaries, aimed at strengthening small businesses and livelihoods.
Similarly, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Hon. Comrade Samakin Abdul-Jeleel Oriwo, reaffirmed the team’s resolve, saying: “We have made a significant difference in the lives of our people, and we are determined to sustain this momentum as we collectively build a brighter future for Osun West and beyond.”
In his closing remarks, Distinguished Senator Lere Kamorudeen Oyewumi commended the Akogun Frontline Team for its discipline, dedication, and people-centred approach, describing the initiative as a true reflection of purposeful grassroots leadership.
