The Deputy Senate Minority Leader representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Olalere Oyewumi PhD, has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Kolade Eluyera, who was reportedly murdered by suspected APC thugs in Irewole Local Government in the early hours of today.
Senator Oyewumi, during the visit, expressed deep sadness over the unfortunate incident and condemned the growing wave of political violence and insecurity in the area. He described the killing as barbaric, unacceptable, and a threat to the peace and democratic values of the state.
The Senator sympathized with the bereaved family and prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, while also praying that God grants the family the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss.
Akogun Oyewumi further called on security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that all those responsible are apprehended and brought to justice without delay.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the protection of lives and property across Osun West and urged residents to remain calm and law-abiding despite the provocation.
