The Deputy Senate Minority Leader representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Molak–Oke-Olufi–Itaakun Road in Ikire.
The road project, which was flagged off by the Osun State Government a few months ago, is aimed at improving transportation, enhancing economic activities, and easing the movement of residents within the affected communities.
During the inspection, Senator Oyewumi expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being carried out on the project.
He emphasized the strategic importance of the road to the socio-economic development of the area, noting that it would significantly improve connectivity and facilitate commerce among residents.
The lawmaker commended the Osun State Government for its commitment to infrastructural development and thanked the government for delivering on its campaign promises through the execution of people-oriented projects. He stated that the road project reflects the administration's dedication to improving the welfare of the people and bringing development closer to the grassroots.
Senator Oyewumi urged residents to continue supporting the government and to cooperate with contractors to ensure the successful completion of the project for the benefit of the entire community.
